Change the number of virtual desktops using the Properties dialog, which you can select from the context menu.

Use the context menu by clicking the right mouse button in either the mini-window or on the sys-tray icon.

Use the enable Virtual Desktop window selector to perform actions on applications such as switching apps, closing windows or bring windows to the current desktop.  Access the window selector from the context menu.

Drag sliding allows you to navigate around your virtual desktops as if they were one single continuous desktop. Moving your mouse across a desk boundary will smoothly scroll your viewport in that direction. Turn drag sliding on in the Properties dialog.

switching desks

Set up hotkeys for switching desktops fast. Open the Properties dialog using the context menu, and select the Hotkeys tab.

Use the taskbar desk icons to switch virtual desktops.

Use Alt-Tab to switch to applications in another virtual desktop and the virtual desktop containing that application will automatically be selected.

Drag switching allows you to switch desks automatically just by moving your mouse across a desk boundary.  Turn drag switching on in the Properties dialog.

the enable virtual desktop mini-window

Configure your mini-window to be semi-transparent, so you can see applications behind it. Use the Advanced Settings in the Properties dialog to set the transparency.

Disable the titlebar on your mini-window by unchecking the box in the Properties dialog. If you want to move the mini-window without the titlebar, select the mini-window image of the mini-window and move it as you would move any other application using the mini-window.

Configure a taskbar icon for your mini-window by checking the taskbar icon box under Taskbar Settings on the Properties dialog.

Configure your mini-window to stay on top of all other applications by checking the stays on top box under Mini-window Settings on the Properties dialog.

Configure your mini-window to autohide under Mini-window Settings on the Properties dialog. Moving the mouse to the corner closest to the mini-window will show the mini-window when it is hidden.

To customize the appearance of your mini-window, open the Properties dialog and select the Appearance tab.

hotkeys

You can configure hotkeys for almost every action that can be performed enable Virtual Desktop.  To configure hotkeys, open the Properties dialog and select the Hotkeys tab.

You can temporarily disable hotkeys using the context menu. This is handy if your hotkeys conflict with an hotkeys in another application.

window rules

You can assign rules to windows. Rules allow you to make applications start in specific desks, or appear in all desks, as well as many other options.  To set rules, open the Properties dialog and select the Windows tab.

You can use your window rules to quickly reorganize your desktop at any time.  Either select "Re-Apply Rules" from the context menu or configure a hotkey to re-apply the rules.

customizing your virtual desktop

You can configure different wallpaper/patterns/colors for each of your virtual desktops. Open the Properties dialog from the context menu, and select the Desks tab.
